Welcome to Western Road
A long-established teaching practice, we aim to offer the highest standard of patient-centred care while helping to develop the next generation of doctors.
We run clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, and offer a variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Friends & Family Test
Would you recommend our service to your friends and family? Please click here to complete the questionnaire
The NHS friends and family test (FFT) is an important opportunity for you to provide feedback on the services that provide your care and treatment. Your feedback will help NHS England to improve services for everyone.
Your answer is voluntary. But if you do answer, your feedback will provide valuable information for your hospital to celebrate good practice, and identify opportunities to make improvements.
Call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency.
General Data Protection Regulation
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new law that determines how your personal data is processed and kept safe, and the legal rights that you have in relation to your own data. The regulation applies from 25 May 2018.
Western Road Medical Centre encourages our patients to stay as active as possible no matter what your age or ability, which is why we recommend Parkrun. Between us our staff have clocked up over 250 runs.
Parkrun organises a free, weekly, 5km, timed walk or run in a park near you at 9am every Saturday.
Locally this is Raphael's park and Harrow Lodge park and we encourage people of every ability to take part: four olds to club runners to octogenarians - all are welcome.

If you think walking, jogging or running 5k seems impossible, there are plenty of resources to help you get started! The NHS has a very handy 'podcast' series called Couch to 5k.
The following link includes a week-by-week description of the 9-week programme to help you go from no exercise to 5k, with each week involving 3 runs: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/couch-to-5k-week-by-week/?tabname=couch-to-5k
